Artificial intelligence has made remarkable breakthroughs in modern healthcare; nevertheless, its widespread clinical adoption requires extreme caution. On the one hand, AI algorithms can scan thousands of medical images within seconds to detect malignant tumors at their earliest stages. For instance, deep-learning diagnostic models currently identify rare skin cancers with higher accuracy than experienced specialists. On the other hand, relying entirely on automated machines introduces significant legal risks and ethical dilemmas. In particular, biased training datasets may generate erroneous diagnoses for underrepresented patient groups. Therefore, instead of replacing doctors, future medicine must combine algorithmic intelligence with human empathy to ensure patient safety.
